Google Ads, GA4 and Conversion Tracking for Metro Detroit Small Businesses
Google bids your money against the numbers your website sends it. When those numbers are missing, flat, or wrong, the algorithm buys the wrong sale and keeps spending. We fix what gets measured first, because every decision after that one depends on it.
The number Google bids against is the one nobody checks
Smart Bidding strategies such as maximize conversion value only work when the real sale value reaches Google with every order. When a store sends the same flat number every time, a $40 accessory and a $2,500 machine look identical to the algorithm. Cheap orders are easier to win, so cheap orders are what the budget buys. The account reports conversions every month while the products that pay the bills sit still. The reporting looks healthy because it is counting the wrong thing.
How it works
Read the account
We go through the campaigns, the conversion actions, the search terms report, and the landing pages, and write down what the account is being told to optimize for. Everything after this step depends on that answer.
Fix the measurement
We connect Google Analytics 4, the purchase event, conversion values, and Google Search Console. Real order values reach Google Ads, and the two systems agree with each other.
Point the money at the right page
Every search term that costs money gets matched to the page that answers it. Terms you pay for that the site could rank for without paying go on the SEO list instead.
Report it monthly
One page a month in plain English: what the spend bought, which pages earned it, and what changes next. You will not need to log into a dashboard to read it.
What we fix
Conversion values that match the real sale
Every order reports what it was actually worth, so bidding works toward revenue instead of order count. This single setting decides what your budget buys.
Google Analytics 4, set up properly
The property, the purchase event, and the link to Google Ads, configured so the numbers in both places agree and a sale is counted once.
Google Search Console
Connected, verified, and read every month, so you can see which searches you already win without paying, and which pages Google has indexed.
Search terms and landing pages
What people type before they click, checked against the page they land on. A click that lands on a page about something else is money spent to make someone leave.
Budget sized to what is working
While the measurement is wrong, our recommendation is to spend less. The budget goes back up once the values reaching Google are correct.
Wix, WordPress, Shopify and Squarespace
Tracking set up on the platform you already run, WooCommerce stores included, with no migration and no new subscription to buy.
Common questions
Why do my Google Ads report conversions while sales stay flat?
Usually because every conversion is reported with the same value, or with no value at all. Google optimizes for whatever you tell it to count, so if all orders look equal, it buys the ones that are cheapest to win. The conversion count rises, revenue does not, and the account looks like it is working.
What is conversion value tracking, and why does it matter?
It is the sale amount your website sends to Google every time someone buys. With it, Google can bid more for the clicks that lead to bigger orders. Without it, every sale carries the same weight, and the algorithm has no way to tell your best customer from your smallest one.
Can you set up Google Analytics 4 and Search Console for us?
Yes, both, including the purchase event, the Google Ads link, and value reporting. If no Search Console property exists for your domain, we create and verify one and add your team to it. You own both accounts, and we work inside them as a collaborator.
Do you manage the ad account, or only fix the tracking?
Either. We would rather fix the measurement before touching budgets or bids, because changes made against bad numbers cannot be judged. Once the tracking is honest, ongoing management is scoped and quoted like any other work.
Which website platforms do you work on?
Wix, WordPress and WooCommerce, Shopify, Squarespace, and custom builds. The tracking problems are close to identical on all of them, and so is the fix. We work in the platform you already have rather than proposing a rebuild.
Do you charge a percentage of ad spend?
No. Our fee is flat and agreed in advance, so nothing about what we earn changes when your budget goes up or down. The flat fee is deliberate, because the right advice for an account bidding against a broken number is to spend less until it is fixed.
Not sure your ad budget is being counted properly?
Start with the $297 Website & Growth Audit. We read the ad account, the analytics property, and Search Console together. You get back what is measured, what is measured wrong, and what that is costing you, before any ongoing work starts.
